Xenia Arapaki drawing

Xenia St. Arapaki was born in Athens and lives in Nikaia, Piraeus. In V. Vlachopoulos’ studio, she cultivated her aesthetic representations and acquired those primary visual tools that have at a great extend determined her artistic identity. She studied painting under G. Mavroidis, P. Tetsis and D. Mytaras at the Athens School of Fine Arts. During her studies, she received two scholarships in ceramics and obtained her degrees of Painting, Ceramics and Theoretical Studies. She holds a PhD in Visual Arts Education from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Her artwork is mainly related to painting. It is characterized by abstract compositions, a strict concealed structure, indicating her close relationship with freehand drawing, a pure color spectrum and a mixed technique, which gives volume to her compositions. She has participated in many solo and group exhibitions and, in addition, she is a published author of several articles and books on visual arts education.
